LittleBigPlanet2 - November 16
Even developers Media Molecule at one stage thought a sequel to LittleBigPlanet - the flagship for Sony's play/create/share theme - would be pointless. Not so. With the addition of programmable AI and ability to literally create your own games, LittleBigPlanet 2 is shaping up to me something special for creators and pure players alike.

The good news: it's out on November 16th - smack bang in the middle of a hectic release window. That's a US announcement, however there's no reason to think it won't extend worldwide.

Something that may or may not make its way to Australia in the same form is the collector's edition. For $USD79.99 Sony will be going long on the digital extras.

Here's what it contains:

- LittleBigPlanet2 game
- 7" Sackboy plushie
- LBP2 branded bookends
- Disney / Pixar’s Toy Story 3’s “Aliens” Sackboy Costume
- Disney’s TRON: Legacy “Clu” Sackboy Costume
- The Muppets’ “The Great Gonzo” Sackboy Costume
- PlayStation’s “Ratchet” Sackboy Costume
- PlayStation’s “Clank” Sackboy Costume
- Even More Animals’ “Crocodile” Sackboy Costume
- Even More Animals’ “Vulture” Sackboy Costume
- Even More Animals’ “Cobra” Sackboy Costume
- Even More Animals’ “Mandrill” Sackboy Costume
- PlayStation’s “Jak” Sackboy Costume (only avail with CE)
- PlayStation’s “Daxter” Sackboy Costume (only avail with CE)
- 5 exclusive LBP2 PSN Avatars

It's increasingly interesting seeing how much $ publishers are trying to extract from the in-game content. Whether it's Sony tossing in a bunch of Sackboy costumes or Blizzard raking in massive cash selling in-game steeds, it's a pretty fascinating phenomenon.

We're expecting to hear shortly if the same collector's edition will be available in Australia - given the only physical extra is the plushie, we would think it's a safe bet.
