Please view our help document related to this problem. It's common, and can be as a result to viruses, web servers on your box, or hacking/penetration testing programs such as webscarab.

I remember having trouble signing up to another site that had the anti-proxy plugin installed. I searched the message in Google and found Omni's thread on MyBB. Interestingly, the answer was a reply to your question. I was running Apache on port 80.

Yep, it'll detect that and assume you're accessing the site from a proxy and block you.
