Hello, I've been coding one of my site but I need help in columning.

Do I need a container code I mean this

<div id="leftbuddy">This floats in left</div>

<div id="content"> stuffs </div>

</div>

do I need to have a margin in left to float the content nicely?

I'm not particularly sure what you mean by nice, if you mean have some extra distance between the elements so that they're not clustered, then yes.
