Rockstar trying to regulate outlaw RDR players

Red Dead Redemption's multiplayer isn't bad at all, but as with any online popular game you don't have to look to far to find some scumbag who is cheating.

Rockstar's RDR team will be trying to put the beat down on said cheaters in a title update sometime in the next month. This is the part we semi-like:

Our next title update, planned for release on both Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network within the next month, will include measures to counter hacking and cheating. Those who have been detected to be cheating beyond a shadow of doubt will be promptly banned from the Red Dead online world for a period of our discretion.


We say "semi-like" because if you're pathetic enough to be found to be cheating at a online game "beyond a shadow of a doubt", our personal view is a permaban is more appropriate.

The other part we're not quite so sold on, but that may be just a function of our twisted mindset. People who prey on others in Free Roam mode are also being "addressed". Check it:

Those who are being bullied repeatedly in Free Roam will be given the option to flee by Transporting and respawning in a region of the map of their choosing. And those who are bullying repeatedly will face a new challenge: when a player gets a 6 kill streak in Free Roam, they will become "Most Wanted." This alerts other players of their status as a player-killer, and also sends NPC law response after them.


Isn't this meant to be the wild west? Sure, throw some token AI after griefers/restrict the casual aim use/put the hammer down on people camping spawn points if need be. But allowing people to teleport to a new locale? Is nobody allowed to be a villain anymore?

i personally think this is good cos im always getting raped by people on free roam and just want to spawn away from them
