What Do You Think Of Our New Theme?
I'd like honest opinions please :)
Please note that we are no longer supporting previous themes. The Flame theme (which was our previous theme) is still available for your use, but it will not be supported and you will be encouraged to use our newest theme. |

RE: What Do You Think Of Our New Theme?
I'll be honest because you asked. It's pretty miserable and reminds me of prison, school kitchens, and grey clouds.
This is what it looks like for me

RE: What Do You Think Of Our New Theme?
Hmmmm....thanks for the bug report. What browser and version are you running it with? It seems to look fine for me in that area, but it may be browser specific so I'll take a look.
Ouch, um, any suggestions then to make it look any better? |

RE: What Do You Think Of Our New Theme?
I'm running the latest version of Chrome (8.0.552.215), problems like that can also be caused by screen resolution differences, so I'll add that mine is 1366x768.
It's really just the colour and plainness of it. |

RE: What Do You Think Of Our New Theme?
Alright, I tested it with the following browsers:
My resolution is:1024x768 Pixels Chrome: 8.0.552.215 Internet Explorer: 6.0.2900.5512 Firefox: 3.0.19 It functions fine in firefox. IE obviously being IE6 it looks utterly horrible. Chrome seems fine except there are a few bugs with the code at the bottom. I notice that there are a lack of images as well in posts (i'll have to add those and make them later when I'm on a better workstation with better software). It would be helpful though if you could give some suggestions towards color changes, but you don't have to. I can take a look around and see what differences could be made. |

RE: What Do You Think Of Our New Theme?
Well, if you look at sites like Google, YouTube, and Facebook, you'll see that popular styles tend to be blue and white; the trick is to do that without making it look plain or empty. You don't want everything to be a shade of the same colour, and you don't want to use too many colours either, gradients are nice to have here and there, but you don't want to overuse them. You need to choose matching colours, colours that don't match are colours like black and brown, black and blue, green and red; it's really up to you.
Some like dark themes, some like grey themes, some like colourful themes, and others like bright themes. Browse popular sites, and study the colours. Colours are the most important part of a theme in my opinion, try to make it generic in a way that would appeal to the majority of people. You can try consulting Jay's (iBruteforce) GFX Forums, and here's a useful site for getting hex colours http://0to255.com/ |

Ok, I changed the theme colors around a bit. Let me know what you think.

You can use some of the EvoBB CSS to correct the positioning, because the font is different in this one, you may need to shrink it a little in the menu class. Resizing your browser window usually gives you a peak at what it would look like in wider and thinner resolutions. The sections of the global.css you will want to look at are .menu #container #panel. |

RE: What Do You Think Of Our New Theme?
Ok, well...what I did was reduce the width of the container, content, and panel and mixed and matched them. The only thing I don't like is how the panel image at the top (the background for the logo) doesn't go all the way across the page like it did when I had the container at 100% instead of 94.4%. I changed my resolution to something larger and this worked fine with it, I Hope it corrects your problem as well.

The bug is still there, try removing the .logo class, and making these edits Code: #container {Code: #content {Code: .menu ul {Code: #panel { |
