NASA Systems at Great Risk to Attacks
A PDF report from the Office of the Inspector General, entitled "Inadequate Security Practices Expose Key NASA Network to Cyber Attack", and released March 28th 2011, clearly outlines some heavy flaws in the NASA network. In recent months and years, it's come to light that NASA still uses 5.25" floppy drives on a number of space crafts (some of which are recently retired), and it has been made known that NASA suffered a network viral infection in 2008. These two already known facts make it little surprise that the findings of the OIG are so concerning.
