Moderator Applications
If you're wanting to be a moderator of our site, we're expecting and accepted nothing less than the best. We want someone who's knowledgeable, we want someone who's mature, we want someone who has time to do the job at hand, we want someone who's calm and doesn't get riled up too easily, and we want someone who's good with people.

All of this should reflect in your posts. If you think you are worthy enough to be a moderator on our forum, you're going to need to prove it.

Please follow the following guidelines when posting your applications:
  • Have more than 200 posts
  • Are you a moderator/admin at any other sites? If so which ones?
  • How experienced are you with moderating websites?
  • If the site were having trouble, any kind of trouble, how would you respond to that trouble with other members?
  • Why do you think you deserve this position?
  • What do you expect from the member-base if you were a moderator?
  • What are the tid-bits that really set you off?
  • What do you suggest for this site?
  • Finally, what do you think you could do to better this site?

Please do not spam my thread with non-sense posts. If you have questions just pm me.

RE: Moderator Applications
-Have more than 200 posts
N/A
-Are you a moderator/admin at any other sites? If so which ones?
I admin on many text based games and deal with players looking for support there. If you wish for a list please PM me as I do not wish for them to be made public.
-How experienced are you with moderating websites?
Extremely, in my opinion.
-If the site were having trouble, any kind of trouble, how would you respond to that trouble with other members?
Depends on the trouble. If its a member to member dispute, I would listen to both cases and figure who is within the right and who is in the wrong.
-Why do you think you deserve this position?
People like me. I hold good grammar/spelling skills, and have a great amount of time on my hands. Not only that, but I would be more than glad to help this site grow in any way that I can.
-What do you expect from the member-base if you were a moderator?
An increase in members, and quality posts. I wouldn't tolerate any rule breaking, no matter who you are, and they all would learn to know that.
- What are the tid-bits that really set you off?
There's not much that can, in all honesty.
-What do you suggest for this site?
More members. This seems like a forum with great potential in the near future, and I hope it shows that later on.
-Finally, what do you think you could do to better this site?
Make sure rules stay enforced. When I have nothing better to do I would sit and think about what could improve this site and supply it with suggestions as to how to upgrade it.

RE: Moderator Applications
Hi, MasterZuFu.

This is my Moderator Application, I guess.
  • Have more than 200 posts
    • Not as of yet, though I see this on the not so far horizon.
  • Are you a moderator/admin at any other sites? If so which ones?
    • I am an administrator on AdminsForum, and a few other smaller sites. I'm a moderator on a professional organization known as ChannelFuse. I moderate as the Chief of Moderation on the Main ChannelFuse Forum. I've been granted temporary administrative access to GirlsForum to carry out some housekeeping issues. I have moderated countless minor communities as well.
  • How experienced are you with moderating websites?
    • I'm very experienced in moderating websites. I've been part of over fifty forums over the past two years, and I've probably held a staff role at over ten of them.
  • If the site were having trouble, any kind of trouble, how would you respond to that trouble with other members?
    • Well, for example, if the site was under a DDoS attack, I'd alert the members to the problem. I'd Ask them to take the appropriate safety measures and to remain logged in to prevent from being locked out. For a more generalized answer, I look at the issue, analyze it, and appropriately instruct members to undergo the necessary measures to secure sanity and competence across the board.
  • Why do you think you deserve this position?
    • Because I can tell you right now, that I will be the most dedicated pilot member you'll ever come across. I'm a forum junkie, capable of making a solid 76 posts per day - obviously I wouldn't bring that here, as it's unnecessary, but you know what I'm getting at. I deserve the position, because the site deserves me. The site deserves someone who is confident, mature, and knows how to control a community in a non-abrasive way. I deserve the position because I want to be able to be a huge part of this community.
  • What do you expect from the member-base if you were a moderator?
    • I'd expect the same thing as I would if I weren't a moderator: a solid, quality group of members willing to help get the community on its feet. I'd expect members to respect staff, as all members of all forums should, and I'd also expect members to have an enjoyable time. There's no use in having a forum if it's going to be moderated by modern-day-Hitler, so there's no need for insane strictness.
  • What are the tid-bits that really set you off?
    • I'm a cool, calm, and collected person. Nothing 'sets me off', to be exact. Some things may annoy me, though I don't show it in my posts or content. I dislike how some members choose to post sloppily with no grammar - no one likes that.
  • What do you suggest for this site?
    • HJT! I want to bring a HJT Team to the site. If there's one thing I would be most dedicated to, it'd be creating a state-of-the-art HJT training facility which would be capable of attracting ounces of members.
  • Finally, what do you think you could do to better this site?
    • I can better this site by bringing new ideas, new members, new traffic, and new hope. I've been told that I'm the best pilot member on the Internet, and that I bring new communities life - something I would like to bring to CEH. I'm incredibly passionate about White Hat Hacking, and it's something that I'm fully dedicated to. I have only just joined CEH, but I have many great ideas for the community. Whether I'm selected or not, I'm going to bring them to the plate.
Thanks,
Harvey

RE: Moderator Applications
# Have more than 200 posts
N/A
# Are you a moderator/admin at any other sites? If so which ones?
I am an administrator on AllianceForums also i was an admin on DefenseNet before it got closed because the owner didn't have enough money to keep paying for hosting lol. also i was a moderator/Smod on countless minor sites.
# How experienced are you with moderating websites?
Very
# If the site were having trouble, any kind of trouble, how would you respond to that trouble with other members?
I would inform the members of that trouble and possibly mass email everyone about it and if it was something like the site got defaced and say most people were panicking i would calm them down and say it will be fixed as soon as ZuFu gets online.
# Why do you think you deserve this position?
because i will be very active and i have good grammar/spelling skills also i am happy to help you with anything at all to help the site.
# What do you expect from the member-base if you were a moderator?
that it increases
# What are the tid-bits that really set you off?
as sky- the RSS bot thing
# What do you suggest for this site?
once again as Sky- said get rid of the RSS bot thing
# Finally, what do you think you could do to better this site?
i can moderate very good

i am looking to become either a moderator or admin.
Thanks for considering my application, Sephiroth
