Well my antivirus was out of date and a virus installed itself on my computer. then it installed a useless antivirus prrogram clone by itself. Then it disabled me from using my antivirus or control panel. It would give error "File ****.exe has been infected, could not execute"
Please help?

I suggest you download "Hijack This" and then post a log in the HJT section. That way the HJT trainees and qualified can help you.

My computer slows down. My anti-virus can no longer detect a latest virus. Need some help???

If you have not tried Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 (Registered) then use it ! The same problem was accurd with me and the Kasper solved it for me !!!

ok please download Trend Micro's Hijack This from here http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/
then please post a log in the HJT analysis section for me we will then work to disinfect your system from there onward.

Is there any good anti-virus software worth of attention beside Kaspersky and NOD32?? Most people I've asked about anti-virus software keep recommending those 2, and is it necessary to be p2p software to do the job or there is some f2p that is known to be good??

I use Emsisoft Anti-Malware, although it seems to be signature based I've found that it's extremly effective. It's pay to use although you can use it free for 30 days.
